Senior Application Security Engineer

Jamf is seeking a technical leader to join our team as a Senior Application Security Engineer. In this role, you will design and oversee controls to enhance the security of Jamf’s products and services. You will lead secure design and architecture efforts, drive secure development lifecycle practices, identify and resolve complex security issues, build and scale security automation, and mentor team members.

This is a hybrid role, requiring presence in the Katowice office once every two weeks. Applicants must be based in Poland and possess the necessary sponsorship to live and work in Poland.

What You'll Do:

• Lead security reviews of current and new products/services to identify, prioritize, and communicate security risks.
• Champion and improve secure development lifecycle practices (including threat modeling and testing).
• Define and provide secure designs, requirements, and reference architectures.
• Collaborate with development, product, and infrastructure teams to resolve complex security issues.
• Design, develop, and implement scalable security practices, processes, and tools.
• Maintain high-quality security documentation and reporting.
• Research emerging threats and translate them into actionable improvements.
• Participate in security incident response activities and post-incident reviews.
• Automate routine tasks and scale application security processes.
• Serve as a product security subject-matter expert.
• Mentor and coach junior Product Security Engineers.
• Lead the Product Security Champions guild.

What We Are Looking For:

• Required: Minimum 6 years of experience in software development and application security.
• Required: Minimum 5 years of experience in software and development security principles and controls.
• Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more programming languages.
• Required: Minimum 2 years of experience with security assessment tools and techniques.
• Required: Familiarity with OWASP and/or other relevant security frameworks.
• Preferred: Minimum 2 years of experience with Apple device management.
• Ability to lead through influence in software development.
• Strong Communication, Organizational, and Analytical Skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical terms clearly.
• Ability to interact effectively in a results-driven culture.
• Self-starter, energetic, highly motivated team player.
• Effective project planning and time management skills.
• Ability to critically analyze issues and make sound judgments.
• Trustworthy with sensitive information.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Preferred Certifications: GIAC Security Essentials, CEH, CISSP, AWS Certified Security.
