The Role:

This position oversees multiple managers and their teams at the assigned Logistic Field Operations location(s). You will work closely with the General Manager and other Company leaders to ensure day-to-day business operations run efficiently and effectively, developing and executing site-specific goals and strategies to optimize network operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Manager in ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day business operations.
• Develop site-specific goals and objectives in alignment with Company leadership and ensure effective execution.
• Execute new programs, initiatives, and strategies to optimize network operations through prioritization, work planning, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Gather business, financial, service, and operations information, preparing periodic reports and presentations for business leaders.
• Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, performance standards, and regulatory requirements, taking appropriate action to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for proper planning, scheduling, and asset management.
• Provide mentoring, accountability, and succession planning through coaching, leadership development, training, and performance management.
• Assist in the selection, orientation, and training of employees.
• Evaluate and identify key productivity indicators, trends, and options, implementing process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure efficient and economical performance in accordance with strategic plans, goals, objectives, and operating budgets.
• Proactively communicate information to direct reports, providing clear understanding of expectations, performance measures, and goals.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work outdoors regularly for extended periods in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work in an office environment with extensive computer use, including sitting for up to 4+ hours.
• Ability to safely perform physical requirements: frequently move in and out of vehicles; frequently stand, bend, twist, stoop, and squat; regularly walk 75 feet; regularly climb ladders and ramps up to 10 feet; regularly work up to 10 feet above ground; continually sit for 10 hours; regularly push, pull, and lift 20 lbs., and periodically lift up to 60 lbs.

Requirements:

• 2 years of actual people leadership experience AND 4 years of logistics or supply chain experience, OR a Bachelor's Degree in related fields.
• Demonstrable experience leading or developing people (formal or informal roles), including managing CDL drivers.
• Transportation experience (e.g., driving a vehicle transporter or tractor trailer) or equivalent Military experience preferred.
