Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate FP&A

About the Role
HubSpot is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This critical role supports accurate financial reporting, optimal financial management, and efficient operations across the Finance organization. You will be instrumental in conducting financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc projects, with a focus on supporting consolidated financial planning and analysis and analyzing complex datasets to forecast key financial metrics on the Income Statement and within the Customer Base.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate FP&A, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including functional FP&A (Sales, Marketing, GTM, Product, G&A), Accounting, Finance leadership, and Investor Relations.
Responsibilities
- Partner strategically with senior leadership, providing actionable insights and recommendations to influence decisions.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles, enhancing corporate models for improved financial predictability and accuracy.
- Gather, consolidate, and analyze operating and financial performance, including forecasting and financial reviews with leadership.
- Prepare internal and external reporting deliverables, conduct insightful analyses, and present findings to guide strategic discussions.
- Analyze actual performance versus plan/forecast, identifying trends, variances, and business drivers.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, management presentations, earnings release materials, and board materials.
- Synthesize key business data, package findings, and present recommendations to stakeholders (often Director+).
- Contribute to evolving and driving efficiency in financial processes and systems to support a growing finance organization.
Requirements
- An AI-first operating mindset, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage AI.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA/CFA is a plus.
- 2-5 years of experience in FP&A or analytical fields.
- Strong business consulting, strategic, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Experience in the technology/SaaS industry is preferred.
- Solid understanding and experience with financial statement analysis, corporate finance, and US GAAP.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, SAP), and/or FP&A software (e.g., Anaplan).
- Comfort summarizing and identifying key informational gaps with incomplete data.
- Strong quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize key takeaways and tell stories with data.
- A self-starter with intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving financial priorities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Cash Compensation Range: $110,900—$166,400 USD
