  • Build and present board-ready financial materials, KPI dashboards, and investor narratives that translate operational performance into strategic insight.
  • Lead capital allocation decisions, evaluate investment opportunities, and develop financial frameworks for pricing, packaging, and go-to-market expansion.
  • Partner with department heads across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to drive data-informed resource allocation and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain frameworks for measuring the financial impact and ROI of AI initiatives, ensuring AI investments are tied to measurable improvements in retention, efficiency, and revenue growth.
  • Advise on capital allocation, commercial trade-offs, and strategic investments to maximize business impact.

Partnership Strategy & Ecosystem Development

  • Lead build-vs-buy analysis for new capabilities, providing rigorous financial and strategic frameworks.
  • Identify and evaluate M&A and strategic investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning.
  • Identify, negotiate, and close partnership agreements with HRIS, payroll, and complementary HR technology providers.
  • Define partnership KPIs and build reporting frameworks to measure ROI, partner engagement, and contribution to overall revenue targets.
  • Represent PerformYard externally with investors, partners, and industry stakeholders.

Enterprise Value & Exit Readiness

  • Lead exit planning and readiness activities, including data room setup and maintenance, investor materials preparation, and due diligence coordination.
  • Drive enterprise value creation initiatives focused on improving net revenue retention, accelerating ARR growth, and strengthening unit economics.
  • Develop and track value creation dashboards that connect operational metrics to enterprise valuation drivers.
  • Quantify and communicate the enterprise value impact of AI-powered features.
  • Partner with the VP of Finance to ensure financial reporting, controls, and data integrity meet required standards.

Key Metrics and Success Criteria

  • Financial Performance: Budget accuracy, forecast reliability, capital efficiency, and Rule of 40 progression.
  • Enterprise Value: Net revenue retention improvement, ARR growth acceleration, and exit readiness milestones.
  • AI Value Realization: Measurable ROI of AI initiatives across retention, ARPU, and operational efficiency.
  • Ecosystem Expansion: Number and quality of active partnerships, integration adoption rates, and co-sell win rates.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, corporate development, investment banking, or management consulting, with meaningful time spent in B2B SaaS.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling partnership programs.
  • Deep fluency in SaaS financial metrics (ARR, NDR, CAC/LTV, Rule of 40) and a proven ability to translate financial data into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive teams and Boards.
  • Experience leading build-vs-buy evaluations and M&A due diligence.
  • Familiarity with exit planning activities.
  • Experience developing frameworks for measuring the financial impact of AI and technology investments.
  • Data-driven leader, comfortable aligning financial and partnership investments to ROI and value creation.
