About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Bilanzbuchhalter / Senior Accountant (m/w/d) to strengthen the Finance team. This is a permanent position with long-term prospects.

Your Responsibilities

• Independently prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code).
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and consolidation processes within the corporate group.
• Monitor and continuously improve closing and reporting processes for quality and timeliness.
• Oversee central areas of financial accounting and ensure smooth operations.
• Reconcile general and subsidiary ledger accounts and intercompany transactions.
• Act as a competent point of contact for external auditors, consultants, and internal departments.
• Organize and support annual financial statement, tax, and business audits.
• Provide expert support to management on financial and accounting matters.
• Participate in tax-related matters and the preparation of statutory reports.
• Identify and implement optimization potential within financial processes.
• Develop digital workflows, reporting tools, and automation solutions.
• Contribute to company-wide projects related to Finance, Reporting, and Compliance.

Your Qualifications

• Education: Completed degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling, or a comparable qualification such as a Certified Accountant (IHK).
• Experience: Several years of practical experience in accounting, financial accounting, or financial statement preparation.
• Accounting Knowledge: Profound knowledge of HGB accounting principles and confident handling of annual financial statements.
• Consolidation: Knowledge of group accounting or consolidation processes is advantageous.
• Stakeholder Management: Confident interaction with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Systems: User knowledge of ERP systems, ideally with modern Microsoft solutions.
• Technical Skills: Excellent Excel skills and a strong understanding of numbers and processes.
• Digital Mindset: Enthusiasm for digital transformation, process optimization, and modern finance organizations.
• Work Style: Structured, self-reliant, and goal-oriented approach.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, analytical thinking, and a high degree of responsibility.
• Language: Good English skills for international communication.
