We are seeking a dedicated Bilanzbuchhalter (m/f/d) for an established, mid-sized company in a central Hamburg location. Our client is a professionally structured, financially stable company with approximately 120-180 employees, offering a collaborative finance team and excellent working conditions.

About the Role

In this role, you will take on central responsibilities in financial accounting and play a key part in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. You will manage accounts, provisions, accruals, and analyses, ensuring a cohesive financial picture. You will work closely with finance management, controlling, external tax advisors, and other internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German GAAP).
• Process ongoing business transactions in financial accounting and review accounts, bookings, and reconciliations.
• Manage areas such as provisions, accruals, fixed asset accounting, VAT, and analyses, based on your experience and focus.
• Collaborate closely with tax advisors, auditors, controlling, and internal departments.
• Contribute to process improvements, particularly where traditional "we've always done it this way" approaches exist.
• Ensure that financial statements are not only completed but also comprehensible, accurate, and reliable.

Qualifications

• Completed commercial apprenticeship, a business administration background, or a comparable qualification.
• Further training as a Bilanzbuchhalter (m/f/d) is ideal but not mandatory if practical experience is strong.
• Good knowledge of financial accounting and HGB closing procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (Pivot tables are welcome).
• Structured, careful, and reliable working style.
• Desire to work in an environment where responsibility is taken and political maneuvering is minimal.
