About the Role:
Vercel is seeking a Senior Manager of Compensation to partner directly with our Go-To-Market (GTM) and General & Administrative (G&A) teams. You will work closely with business leaders, People Business Partners, and Recruiting to ensure our compensation strategies attract top talent, reward performance, and align with our operational model. This hands-on role also involves partnering with the Head of Total Rewards on executive compensation.

What You Will Do:

  • Guide compensation decisions and tradeoffs with leaders across GTM and G&A.
  • Translate compensation data into actionable insights that drive decisions.
  • Build and maintain competitive salary bands, bonus targets, and equity ranges using multiple data sources.
  • Clearly and simply educate managers and employees on compensation principles.
  • Partner on executive compensation strategy, including benchmarking and equity programs.

About You:

  • Approach compensation with a product-oriented mindset: design, build, and improve.
  • Translate market data into company-specific strategies, rather than just following trends.
  • Comfortable challenging conventional approaches.
  • Ability to explain complex compensation topics in plain language.
  • Understanding of executive compensation in both private and public company contexts.
  • Experience in a fast-growing tech company, preferably with international employees.

Compensation:
The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $207,000 - $253,000. Actual salary will depend on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation may be adjusted based on employee location outside of San Francisco. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity, and eligibility for company bonuses.

Location: Remote (with potential hybrid options in San Francisco, CA)
