About the Role:
As a Mission Manager within the Air Force domain, you will collaborate with DAF Tech Lead and Fleet Tech Lead to establish a technical roadmap for mission outcomes with Mission Heroes. You will also facilitate feedback from the Delivery team to the Product team.

Responsibilities:

• Product Management: Serve as Product Manager for assigned Delivery Efforts.
• Collaborate with Domain and Vertical Tech Leads to define technical roadmaps for Mission Outcomes.
• Align Defense Unicorns' Product Roadmaps with your Hero's technical roadmap and provide feedback to the Product segment on Mission Need dates to drive adoption.
• Share and facilitate feedback from the Delivery segment to the Product segment regarding Defense Unicorns' OSS projects and productized services.
• Work with Tech Leads to establish an aligned Delivery roadmap using Product roadmaps.
• Follow company best practices for building Delivery solutions.
• Balance priorities from users, customers, stakeholders, and the team to deliver mission value scalably.
• Foster an environment for Unicorn growth, mentorship, and coaching.
• Foster an environment where Defense Unicorns' values and principles thrive.

Travel Expectations: 4-12 times per year.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in translating pain points to root causes and working with engineers on value delivery roadmaps.
• Proficient in modern software development processes (DevSecOps, Continuous Delivery, User-Centered Design).
• Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams.
• Skilled in expectation management across different personas.
• Experience and passion for software delivery for Mission Success in the tech industry or Department of Defense.
• Familiarity with federal government contracts, procurement, and budget processes.
• Sufficient technical depth to understand and translate architectural decisions for various stakeholders.

Work Environment:

• Location: Remote - USA
• Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $142,375 - $192,625 USD
• Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience.
