The Role:

The Corporate Accounting Manager is a key member of the Asset Living corporate accounting team, reporting to the Controller. This position is responsible for significant aspects of day-to-day operations and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily corporate accounting operations, including billing, accounts payable, general ledger, revenue recognition, and cash management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end close in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Review monthly financial statements and perform variance analyses.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolving issues promptly.
  • Prepare journal entries for complex or higher-risk areas, including corporate payroll and insurance programs.
  • Review AP invoices for accurate coding and analyze expenses.
  • Prepare audit and tax-related requests.
  • Drive consistency and standardization of the month-end close process across Asset Living regions.
  • Lead the development of new processes and procedures to improve close efficiency and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for technical accounting areas (lease accounting, fixed assets, intangibles, revenue recognition) and prepare accounting memos.
  • Support M&A activities, including onboarding acquisitions and post-merger integration.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Controller.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA Eligible or CPA Preferred.
  • Previous experience leading or managing a team of accountants.
  • Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills.
  • Deep understanding of financial concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
