The Role
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager (Toronto), the Operations Manager is responsible for supporting our donor and non-profit networks in Toronto, Mississauga, and Brampton. This role will oversee Direct Delivery and Pickup programs, manage the Second Harvest Food Rescue App, and lead special annual programs like Feeding Our Future and Harvest Kitchens. You will develop, implement, and manage initiatives to drive community impact in these regions. We seek a partnership-minded individual driven by positive community development and social change, with experience in community programming and the food sector.
Your Impact
- Build and maintain strong regional partnerships with food donors, logistics partners, and non-profit organizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support core food redistribution missions, including Direct Delivery, Pickup, Harvest Kitchens, Feeding Our Future, and the Food Rescue App.
- Provide staff management, including coaching, goal setting, and fostering a positive team environment.
- Deliver best-in-class customer service to food donor and non-profit partners, resolving inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Serve as a regional ambassador, delivering presentations and participating in speaking engagements to increase awareness and engagement.
- Identify opportunities to grow Second Harvest programs and collaborate on special projects.
- Assess capacity gaps and implement improvements for food rescue operations.
- Oversee reporting and data collection to support growth and optimization.
- Facilitate best practice workshops for stakeholders as part of the Training and Education program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Who You Are (Qualifications)
- Experienced: Background in non-profit, community programming, or the food sector, with client-facing and program management experience.

- Valid Class G driverβs license and readiness to travel across Toronto, Brampton & Mississauga.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $65,000 Per Annum.
