Overview:
The Functional Testing Manager ensures Enterra’s solution offerings meet functional requirements and provide an exceptional user experience, particularly for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) customers using our Revenue Growth Optimization (RGO) solutions. This role leads functional testing strategy and execution, partnering with Client Services, Product Management, Engineering, Data, and Release Management/DevOps to define strategy, drive planning and execution (manual and automated), and provide quality reporting.
What You’ll Do:
- Enforce Functional Testing Standards: Define test approach, scope, entry/exit criteria, and release readiness gates across products and releases.
- Plan and Execute Functional Testing: Manage test scheduling, environment readiness, test data setup, and report daily progress.
- Develop Test Artifacts: Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated), focusing on trade promotion and price planning workflows. Increase automated testing coverage.
- Partner with Client Services: Support client-facing testing, including UAT planning, evidence collection, defect triage, and release notes validation.
- Define and Review Requirements: Analyze user stories and specifications to identify gaps and ensure testable requirements.
- Collaborate with Product & Engineering: Translate requirements into testable acceptance criteria, validating edge cases in trade promotion and price planning.
- Lead Test Automation Initiatives: Implement and evolve UI/API test suites, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive Defect Resolution: Manage triage, prioritization, reproduction steps, impact analysis, fix verification, and root-cause analysis using Jira.
Requirements - Business:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated domain expertise in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), with a strong focus on Revenue Growth Management and Optimization (RGM / RGO), trade promotion, and price planning and analysis.
- Strong business partnering skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Focus on product delivery and business outcomes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-haves - Product Testing:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in software product quality assurance (QA), including functional test planning and release readiness.
- Foundational knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (Agile/Scrum).
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation (UI and/or API) using frameworks like Playwright or Selenium.
- Ability to define and report quality metrics and communicate insights clearly.
- Ability to create clear documentation and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Proficiency with QA and collaboration tools (Jira, test case management tools) and Microsoft Office suite.
Nice-to-haves - General:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure, Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Experience testing data-heavy or AI-driven applications.
- ISTQB (or similar) certification.
- Experience with Snowflake Intelligence Solution.
