About the Role
Do you want to empower small businesses to thrive and grow? OfferUp is looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead our Local Business product portfolio, which includes our Storefronts and Motors business lines. These offerings provide solutions for SMB retailers and vehicle dealerships aiming to connect with local buyers. This role sits at the crucial intersection of B2B product strategy and revenue growth, offering a chance to influence how thousands of local businesses connect with customers on one of the largest U.S. local shopping platforms.
This is a hybrid role based in our Bellevue, WA office, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office. We seek an individual with strong product instincts, a deep appreciation for data, and a proven ability to translate ambiguity into measurable business results.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive business outcomes at scale: Take ownership of product lines generating over $20M in annual revenue, defining and executing strategy with clarity and urgency.
- Grow a product-led growth engine: Scale our recently launched self-serve acquisition flywheel to reduce friction for new business customers in discovering, onboarding, and expanding their platform usage.
- Empower Business Customers: Lead the next phase of development for the OfferUp Business Portal, the central hub where merchants manage inventory, track performance, engage with buyers, and enhance their presence on OfferUp.
- Lead Across a Talented Team: Partner with dedicated engineers, designers, and key stakeholders in Sales, Account Management, B2B Marketing, and Ads, guiding them through trade-offs and focusing efforts on the most impactful work.
- Own the Roadmap: Develop and maintain a roadmap that balances immediate revenue impact with long-term platform investment, articulating the rationale behind all trade-offs.
- Be a Key Voice: Work directly with company leadership to influence strategy and substantiate ideas with clear reasoning.
- Test and Learn: Conduct experiments (A/B testing) to identify effective strategies and continuously improve the platform based on insights.
- Leverage AI: Utilize tools like Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT to accelerate development and achieve significant results with a lean team.
Who You Are:
- A Natural Leader: Proactive and capable of managing multiple projects to successful completion.
- A Problem Solver: Demonstrated ability to navigate complex situations and devise creative, simple solutions.
- A Great Communicator: Skilled at explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, clearly articulating the "why."
- Data-Informed: Adept at analyzing data, setting measurable goals, tracking key metrics, and letting evidence guide decisions.
- An Experienced PM: Possess 8+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration in large, complex organizations.
Helpful, But Not Required:
- Experience building B2B or SMB-facing products, especially those with self-serve or product-led growth models.
- Background in two-sided marketplaces (e.g., classifieds, e-commerce, automotive, or on-demand platforms).
