Translation Project Coordinator

Side (formerly PTW) is a global video game development and services provider seeking a Translation Project Coordinator to support the day-to-day execution of localization projects. You will coordinate resources, schedules, workflows, and communications to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery. This role reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee project schedules and progress to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Create, maintain, and improve documentation for visibility, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational challenges, proactively mitigate risks, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Conduct project scoping, effort estimation, timeline planning, and feasibility assessments.
  • Manage client and vendor communications effectively, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in response to shifting project requirements and priorities.
  • Support Project Manager responsibilities, including coverage during absences.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Select and allocate appropriate resources to projects, balancing quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Maintain a high level of responsiveness and professionalism in all communications.
  • Support cross-functional tasks, including machine translation deployment, LQA coordination, and implementation of new tools.
  • Conduct quality assessments on project deliverables, including sanity checks and editing distance analysis.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including budget, margin, and resource utilization.
  • Track and report on project delivery, quality, and operational KPIs.

Compliance and Ethics

  • Ensure team adherence to company Security, Confidentiality, and Health & Safety policies.
  • Comply with IT and HR procedures.
  • Uphold ethical business practices aligned with company values.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in project coordination, preferably in the video game, localization, or language services industry.
  • Experience coordinating or leading teams, with strong mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Proficiency in CAT tools (e.g., memoQ) and familiarity with project management platforms.
