Senior Automation Test Engineer

About the Role

As part of a strategic expansion, we are building a new team in Cairo to support our client’s transition from manual testing to a modern automation-first testing environment. Our client is a large-scale SaaS and data connector platform that empowers organizations to connect, transform, and manage data from multiple sources. The company is AI-native, meaning the role involves daily, practical use of LLMs and AI tools in everyday work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Create and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams.
• Identify, document, and track software defects.
• Continuously improve testing processes and automation coverage.
• Support the transition from manual testing to fully automated testing practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted testing tools and modern QA technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software testing experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium and Cypress.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience across multiple testing types, including UI, E2E, API, component, and integration testing.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance best practices.
• English: Professional working proficiency (Mandatory).

• Programming Languages: Candidates should have experience with at least one of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript / TypeScript.
• CI/CD & DevOps Knowledge: Experience with one or more of: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps.
• AI Readiness:
• Basic understanding of AI concepts.
• Experience using AI productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools.
• Interest in AI-assisted software testing and automation.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
