About the Role
We are seeking a Full Time AO3 Driving Examiner to join our team at the Cairns Customer Service Centres. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and integrity of driving assessments across Queensland.
Your Responsibilities
As a Driving Examiner, you will:
- Conduct practical driving assessments, ensuring adherence to Queensland Government standards and road safety regulations.
- Evaluate candidates' driving skills, road rule knowledge, and vehicle operation capabilities in diverse conditions.
- Provide professional and constructive feedback to candidates post-assessment.
- Maintain fairness and consistency in all testing procedures, following departmental policies.
- Promote road safety awareness, particularly concerning heavy vehicles, contributing to incident reduction.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders for seamless service delivery.
Role Requirements
- Must hold an Open Heavy Rigid (HR) class licence for a minimum of 12 months.
- Higher licence classes, including Heavy Combination (HC), will be highly regarded.
- Possess a clear driving record with no significant infringements.
