Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions into production environments.
- Transform research concepts into robust, maintainable software systems.
- Support research and evaluation of new technologies and products to help inform the development of innovative software solutions.
- Evaluate prototype features or components to ensure they meet functional requirements and usability standards.
- Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and development practices to stay up to date with industry trends and team standards.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and participate in testing and debugging to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Participate in product development and engineering activities to help identify issues, propose improvements, and support resolution efforts.
- Support production monitoring and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer or in a similar development-focused role.
- Hands-on experience with Python.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices.
- Practical knowledge of machine learning libraries/frameworks and LLM ecosystems, with an interest in applying ML concepts and generative AI in real-world products.
- Experience or exposure to software design principles and system architecture.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Nice to Have
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid mathematical foundation.
- Knowledge of MLOps practices (CI/CD, model monitoring, versioning).
- Ability to understand business and customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Good time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing requirements.
- Experience with retail will be considered a plus.
