Product Coordinator - Sport Travel

About the Role

Mike Burton, part of Destination Sport Group, is seeking a Product Coordinator to join their commercial product and distribution team. This hybrid role, based in Gloucester, requires someone to live within commutable distance. You will be instrumental in the creation, costing, and management of product stock levels, working collaboratively across departments to develop innovative and sales-focused experiential itineraries that align with brand messaging and customer demand.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with travel, accommodation, events, and customer service departments to design market-leading, customer-focused experiential itineraries.
• Assist in building, testing, and refining new and existing products to ensure they are on-brand and convey the correct messaging.
• Help collate costs and services from internal departments for the product range.
• Deliver a wide range of products within the agreed roadmap, ensuring they are available for launch on agreed dates.
• Monitor sales figures regularly in line with product availability and demand for bespoke or new products.
• Assist in creating data and insight for market intelligence and customer insights.
• Continuously strive to develop sales-focused and relevant products that match customer demand and are innovative within the sector.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of the competition and the travel industry to ensure the organization's product remains at the forefront of market factors.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer services teams to gather swift and informed customer feedback.

Requirements

• Experience in a product role is desirable, but a strong desire to make a difference and implement innovative product ideas is paramount.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for cross-departmental collaboration.
• Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work effectively within a team to achieve objectives.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Logical thinking and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• While sports travel experience is not essential, character, ability, drive, and enthusiasm are key. Other sector experiences will be considered.
• Must be abreast of developments in product, travel, and sport to identify business opportunities.
