Job Description

Natixis in Portugal is seeking a Mainframe QA Analyst to join its Payments team within the IT (Information Technologies) department. This role is crucial for ensuring our products meet client requirements and for driving quality in our banking solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure that the product meets client requirements.
• Analyze specifications to build a comprehensive Testing strategy.
• Participate in the estimation of test effort, considering expected quality and cost.
• Specify functional and non-functional test scenarios and test cases for verification, and propose testability requirements.
• Plan, create, update, and execute test cases based on use cases and scenarios for each new feature or bug fix, reporting on test execution and defect re-test progress.
• Report and track bugs/defects found using company tools.
• Stay current with industry and best practice trends, using insights to implement new processes and initiatives within the organization.
• Actively engage in and apply various development methodologies to effectively collaborate, contribute to successful delivery, and improve the development process.
• Support more junior Analysts by sharing knowledge, providing technical guidance, and offering constructive feedback to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes learning and growth.
• Maintain a good overview of Business stakes, acting as a source for proposals for solution improvements and understanding the ecosystem.

Qualifications

Hard Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in mainframe, specifically with COBOL (mandatory).
• Knowledge in JCL and DB2 (a plus).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is advantageous.
• Proficient in English (mandatory).
• Proficient in French (a plus).

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
