Job Summary
Work with Storyblok’s dynamic legal team and play a vital role in our day-to-day operations in the AMER region. The primary focus of this role is leading SaaS sales contract negotiations—drafting, redlining, and closing enterprise agreements that enable Storyblok’s AMER sales team to move quickly and confidently. Beyond contracts, your responsibilities span advising on U.S. corporate, privacy, employment and labor law, and supporting product and cybersecurity compliance initiatives. You will manage legal projects with autonomy, guide business teams, and collaborate with external counsel as needed. While focused on the AMER region, you will also support legal initiatives in EMEA and APAC, contributing to global policies and aligning legal processes across regions. Additionally, you will provide legal training, empower team members to manage day-to-day legal tasks, and support the legal leadership in executing strategic priorities and continuous improvement efforts. This role requires extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams across the company—especially Sales, Marketing, Partners, Product, and People—to provide practical, business-minded legal support.
Essential Job Functions
- Draft, redline, negotiate, and own SaaS enterprise sales contracts (MSA, GTC/ToS, NDA, DPA) as the primary focus, enabling efficient deal closure for the AMER sales team.
- Advise on legal principles related to data privacy, IP, information security, and corporate risk mitigation.
- Review and negotiate partnership agreements in AMER.
- Assist globally with reviewing and negotiating procurement and marketing contracts.
- Support HR-related projects and U.S. employment and labor law topics.
- Draft, review, and maintain company-wide policies in accordance with legal requirements and organizational governance standards.
- Monitor and assess developments in applicable laws and regulations, advising the business on emerging legal risks and necessary adaptations.
- Provide legal advice on new product initiatives and feature launches.
- Deliver comprehensive legal training to different teams.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of cross-functional legal projects across multiple business regions, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks, local counsel, and key stakeholders.
- Identify, scope, and lead improvement initiatives across legal functions, driving projects from diagnosis through implementation.
- Support the continuous improvement of legal processes, templates, and governance frameworks.
- Assist the legal team with administrative functions and project-based work.
- Conduct accurate and concise legal research.
- Participate in the yearly legal review and improvement process.
Education and Experience
- Law Degree and Bar Admission to at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 3+ years of experience, primarily focused on drafting, redlining, and negotiating sales contracts. SaaS or fast-paced tech in-house support to enterprise sales teams is strongly preferred.
- Prior negotiation experience with complex corporate agreements.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracting with deep expertise in sales contracts and legal processes.
- Broad and in-depth specialized knowledge of the AMER legal framework; some knowledge of EMEA and APAC topics is preferred.

Compensation
- U.S. Base Salary Range: $69,530 - $113,000.
- Additional compensation may include a competitive commission structure for some roles.
