About the Role

Join our client's team in Kempten as a Software Test Engineer and play a key role in the new development and enhancement of their in-house logistics system. You will actively shape the digital foundation of global transport processes and contribute to ensuring the highest quality of their software solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern test strategies to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of software solutions.
• Conceive, create, and optimize test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.
• Drive the expansion of automated test suites, contributing significantly to continuous software quality improvement.
• Identify vulnerabilities early through structured manual and exploratory testing, ensuring an outstanding user experience.
• Analyze error patterns, document findings, and support their resolution in close collaboration with development teams.
• Ensure efficient and successful delivery of high-quality software in collaboration with developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
• Plan and execute performance and load tests to ensure application stability and scalability under high load.
• Contribute new ideas and continuously improve test processes, methods, and quality standards with your quality awareness.

Your Qualifications

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification. Alternatively, relevant professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or a similar role, with familiarity in common testing methods and quality assurance processes.
• Ideally, knowledge in test automation and experience with testing tools and scripting/programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Analytical thinking, a solution-oriented approach, and a passion for identifying and resolving defects.
• Clear and appreciative communication skills, with enjoyment in collaborating with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
• Very good German or English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Certifications like ISTQB are welcome but not essential; practical experience, curiosity, and a commitment to quality are paramount.
