About the Role

We are looking for a Tax Assistant or Financial Accountant to support our client's finance department. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Your Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting.
• Conduct budget planning and monthly outlook processes.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and monthly cash flow reporting.
• Determine provisions and perform interim accruals/deferrals.
• Regularly prepare statistics, analyses, and reports.
• Prepare VAT (Umsatzsteuer) pre-registration filings.

Your Qualifications

• Completed vocational training as a Tax Assistant (Steuerfachangestellter) (m/f/d).
• Alternatively, a completed business degree with a focus on accounting/controlling.
• Sound knowledge of legal foundations according to HGB (German Commercial Code) and IFRS.
• Solid experience in financial accounting.
• Good user knowledge of common accounting software and very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
• High degree of initiative, as well as temporal and content-related flexibility in performing tasks.
