Localization Web Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Localization Web Developer to support our international Marketing teams in reaching multilingual audiences, with a special focus on quality assurance across all target locales of our Homepage. Your primary responsibilities will involve executing localization best practices and assisting our multilingual teams in delivering a world-class user experience in every language. Reporting to the Localization Team Lead, you will manage functional quality assurance workflows for our current 9 target languages and any future additions. You will be the primary contact for Quality Assurance on our local pages for regional marketing teams, helping them achieve their marketing objectives. Every published page will pass through your review to ensure it meets our high standards for localization best practices. This position allows you to merge your CMS expertise with localization practices to unlock significant efficiencies.

What You'll Be Doing

• Website LQA: Review every page published on our website to ensure UI presentation, localized assets, links, SEO, and URLs are adapted for the target region, adhering to all localization best practices.
• Workflow Management: Own your segment of the localization workflow by prioritizing tasks, following up on deliverables, collaborating with stakeholders, requesting necessary translations, and executing the LQA strategy across the website.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Ensure seamless communication and collaboration with regional marketing teams and the US team to understand their needs and develop scalable solutions.
• Bugfixing and Problem Solving: Resolve localization issues in a high-volume environment by leveraging your knowledge of CAT tools, translation and localization processes, and CMS functionalities to identify root causes and drive cross-departmental solutions (SEO, Content, Paid, Design, etc.).
• Other duties as needed.

About You

• A Bachelor's degree in technology is a significant advantage, though not mandatory.
• 5+ years of programming experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with WordPress; experience with other CMS platforms or WPML is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills: adept at multi-tasking and delivering services to diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Project management skills to track work and maintain focus.
• Documentation mindset: Understands the value of clear structure and reliable processes. Proficient in documenting problems and fixes to enhance service effectiveness over time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in at least one other language (e.g., French, German) is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail: Critically evaluates every page for potential impacts on User Experience.
• Communication skills: Effective in working with individuals needing expertise, providing clear directions for next steps when immediate fixes aren't possible.
• Experience with CAT tools (e.g., memoQ) is a plus.
• Experience with project management processes is a plus.
