About the Role

This is an entry-level Analyst position within our Threat Assessment division. The role is based in San Antonio, TX, and combines in-person and remote work, requiring candidates to commute to North San Antonio at least three times per week. The base compensation for this position ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Note: This position is not aligned with career interests in cybersecurity, penetration testing, network security, SOC operations, incident response, digital forensics, or cyber threat intelligence.

Required Qualifications

• A college graduate who is inquisitive, eager to learn, and a self-starter.
• A strong writer capable of persuading others and clearly articulating viewpoints.
• Adept at problem-solving, sorting through information, deciphering connections, and concisely sharing findings.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
• Possesses confidence, poise in meetings, and the ability to think critically and respond effectively.
• Capable of exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality.

Desired Qualifications

• Prior office experience and comfort in a fast-paced work environment.
• Familiarity with general legal principles and procedures; interest in law school or experience in a law or investigative firm.
• Knowledge of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and computerized legal research.
• Interest in sociology, psychology, investigations, journalistic research, and/or risk assessment.
• Highly organized with a talent for creating systems for order and efficiency.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and foster a positive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities & Expectations

You will join an ambitious team focused on assessing, investigating, and managing safety and privacy cases. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and assessing inappropriate communications to identify risk factors and areas requiring further research. Successful candidates often demonstrate an interest in law, psychology, and criminal justice.

Research

• Evaluate court records, public documents, open sources, database records, and other investigative sources.
• Conduct OSINT as needed to gather additional information on relevant individuals and/or events.

Analysis & Assessment

• Review, identify, and analyze trends and inconsistencies in reporting and research findings.
• Develop actionable conclusions to mitigate risk and acquire difficult-to-obtain information.
• Clearly communicate methodology and recommendations to management and peers through written reports and presentations.
