People Consultant
Autodesk is seeking a dedicated and experienced People Consultant to join its People Experience organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering a five-star employee experience, acting as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders. You will partner closely with various stakeholders to provide expert guidance, anticipate needs, and personalize experiences, all while upholding Autodesk's culture code and global behavioral standards.

Position Overview
As a People Consultant, you will be part of the People Experience team, focused on designing and delivering exceptional moments that matter for employees. This involves providing reliable and expert guidance, proactively identifying employee needs, and personalizing interactions to add value. You will empower leaders and teams through coaching, facilitation, and advisory practices that align with Autodesk's culture and standards. You will work across the entire employment cycle, offering expert advice on team effectiveness, engagement, manager enablement, career development, performance management, and employee relations.
Responsibilities
Consultation Leveraging Regional Expertise and Knowledge
- Address complex labor and compliance issues.
- Support M&A diligence and integration.
- Assist with new location setup or closures.
- Manage involuntary terminations.
- Provide guidance on performance management, including coaching on Performance Improvement Plans.
- Handle investigations for non-standard ER scenarios.
- Support site councils and site leaders.
- Assist in crisis management.
Proactive Consultation
- Facilitate team dynamics (development, intervention).
- Support team effectiveness initiatives (reorganization, redeployments, retention).
- Drive change management efforts.
- Onboard and assimilate leaders.
- Interpret employee insights and develop action plans.
- Coach employees on career development and planning.
- Provide coaching on the performance management cycle, feedback, and performance improvement.
On-Demand Consultation
- Partner with ER managers on employee relations, conflict management, and mediation.
- Provide support and guidance on established HR programs (e.g., calibration, focal, job leveling).
Program Deployment and Adoption
- Engage in the deployment and drive adoption of HR programs (e.g., salary reviews, performance management, benefits, culture initiatives) within specific geographies or business units.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for effective implementation and assessment, leveraging HR planning and development expertise.
- Recommend actions consistent with the company's strategic direction.
- Potentially support business teams with internal training programs by leveraging expertise or external vendors.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR professional partnering with all levels, including senior leaders, managers, and employees, throughout the entire employment cycle.
- Skilled in coaching and facilitation.
- Subject matter expertise in areas such as local employment laws and practices, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
- Ability to prioritize and focus efforts on the most critical tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for making a positive impact.
- Strong advocacy for company culture and values.
- Previous experience in a multinational matrix organization is preferred.
- Certifications such as MBTI or Strength Finder, and coaching certifications are a plus.
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a BA/BS or equivalent work experience; PHR/SPHR or equivalent preferred.
- Fluency in both German and English is required.
