Join Our Product Team
Our Product team is dedicated to Karat's mission: making interviews predictive, fair, and enjoyable. We focus on delivering enhanced value to engineering and talent leaders, hiring managers, recruiters, candidates, and Interview Engineers.
What You Will Do
As a Principal Product Manager, you will own the product vision, strategy, and execution for our interview platform. Working closely with the VP of Product, you will utilize deep user empathy and product thinking to create experiences that evolve with rapid AI advancements in software development. You will collaborate across engineering, content, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver high-impact solutions that transform how companies evaluate talent.
Product Strategy & Innovation
- Define the roadmap for our product suite.
- Evaluate how to leverage AI to provide a stronger signal and measure of a candidate’s technical capabilities.
- Collaborate with leadership to shape Karat’s strategy in the evolving technical assessment market.
Product Development & Execution
- Prioritize features based on customer needs and business objectives.
- Partner with engineering, content, and UX teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Analytics & Insights
- Analyze assessment data to improve accuracy.
- Design experiments to evaluate different approaches.
- Leverage our database of hundreds of thousands of candidates to enhance our signal on candidate performance.
Market & Customer Focus
- Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with Go-to-Market (GTM) teams on expansion strategies.
- Develop compelling business cases for new offerings.
This position requires a schedule that overlaps with U.S. business hours.
The Experience You Will Bring
- 8+ years of product management experience working on B2B and B2C offerings, ideally with past experience as a software developer.
- Track record of working directly with B2B clients in a SaaS environment; comfortable in customer discovery calls, QBRs, and translating enterprise feedback into product decisions.
- Demonstrated experience defining, launching, selling, and scaling successful products with proven business impact.
- Ability to engage with senior, highly technical leaders at large enterprises on topics related to evaluating core software developer fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
- Successful experience in executive presentations, ability to communicate business value, product features/benefits, and gain executive buy-in.
