About the Role

ProSidian seeks a highly skilled Oil and Gas Operations Performance Engineer to provide crucial support for the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office (LPO) within the Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) Program. This role is essential for supporting large-scale energy infrastructure projects by providing Independent Engineering (IE) advisory services focused on operations monitoring and lifecycle performance. You will be instrumental in ensuring the technical and operational viability of projects financed by the LPO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Independent Engineering (IE) advisory support for the EDF Program, focusing on technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities.
  • Analyze oil and gas operating metrics, throughput, production, reliability, and efficiency to assess project performance.
  • Review project documentation, evaluate technical and commercial interfaces, and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare comprehensive work products, including performance dashboards, bottleneck analyses, downtime reports, and optimization recommendations.
  • Coordinate with diverse stakeholders (engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, HSE, project controls) to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Support Conditions Precedent and disbursement readiness reviews.
  • Participate in data room reviews, stakeholder interviews, site observations, and monthly monitoring meetings.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Geoscience, Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or related technical field).
  • Certifications: PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI, or relevant discipline-specific credentials are preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Independent engineering review and technical due diligence.
  • Proficiency in U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office (LPO) style documentation.
  • Risk assessment and analysis.
  • Expertise in oil and gas operating metrics, throughput, production, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Data room review and information request tracking.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel-based analysis and data analytics tools.
  • Effective stakeholder coordination and communication.
  • Competencies: Technical judgment, independence, analytical rigor, attention to detail, client service orientation, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights.

Business Tools Proficiency

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and tools.
