Your Responsibilities

Location: Munich, hybrid (2 days/week in office, rest remote) · Fixed-term until end of February 2028 · 30–40 hours/week

For our People & Organization Team in Munich, we are looking for a Senior People Operations Manager (m/f/d) to cover parental leave, fixed-term until the end of February 2028. The role reports directly to the VP People & Organization and focuses on Germany.

Together with our existing People Operations Manager, you will assume operational responsibility for People Operations, ensuring operational excellence throughout the employee lifecycle. You will act independently at a senior level, bring deep professional expertise, and take responsibility for complex workstreams within our P&O agenda.

  • You will act as an experienced voice within the team, contributing your own standards for quality, compliance, and employee experience.
  • You will independently manage complex and sensitive topics in the employee lifecycle, from difficult contract situations and special cases to ambiguous fixed-term, part-time, or parental leave cases.
  • You will serve as the subject matter expert for contractual and social security law issues and work confidently with external consultants (e.g., tax advisors, law firms).
  • You will independently drive the development of our compliance topics (data protection, maternity protection, etc.) and manage their implementation with a high degree of autonomy.
  • You will lead complex P&O OKR workstreams and projects with creative freedom from conception to rollout, actively shaping the further development of our processes through technology and AI.
  • You will provide sparring and mentoring for less experienced colleagues in the team.

What You Bring

  • Completed studies in business administration, psychology, human resource management, labor law, or a comparable field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in operational HR work, ideally in a dynamic, international environment with a hybrid or remote work model, including independently managing HR projects (e.g., compliance development, system migration, or process optimization).
  • Sound knowledge of German labor and social security law. You can independently assess complex cases, including protection against dismissal, AGG (General Act on Equal Treatment) procedures, and social security law issues.
  • Advanced knowledge of AI tools in the HR context.
  • High degree of independence, strong judgment, and confidence in handling sensitive topics and stakeholders at management level. Discretion, professional distance, clear communication, and a passion for building.
  • Fluent German and good to very good English language skills.

What We Offer

  • Responsible, exciting, and varied tasks with significant creative freedom in a dynamic company that champions flat hierarchies and an open, casual work atmosphere where everyone is on a first-name basis.
  • A friendly, open team of approximately 280 employees in Munich, Leipzig, and Albourne (UK) with several lovely office dogs at our locations.
  • Flexible working hours (based on trust-based working time), home office options including contribution to your home office equipment costs, and the possibility to work from abroad for several months.
  • 28 days of vacation plus the option to take up to 20 days of unpaid leave and special leave!
  • Various internal & external development opportunities that you can choose independently based on your interests.
  • Your mental health is important to us! Through the platform "OpenUp", you can anonymously participate in individual or group therapy sessions or speak with real therapists in 1:1 meetings.
  • Various employee discounts - for people and pets!
  • Regular team, company, and family & friends events.
  • Need a break? Relax in our social area equipped with a foosball table or challenge your colleagues on our cozy sofa landscape to a Mario Kart battle (or another Nintendo Switch game).

  • Coffee, cocoa, tea, and other cold soft drinks like water and juices, as well as fresh fruit, small snacks, and a well-stocked candy drawer are available to you free of charge.
  • EGYM Wellpass Membership: With our subsidized membership with EGYM Wellpass, you gain access to thousands of sports and wellness facilities – including gyms, swimming pools, climbing halls, yoga and Pilates studios, and many other offerings. This allows you to stay fit and well across Germany flexibly – however best fits your daily routine!
  • Access to modern AI tools: We provide you with modern AI tools to help you work more efficiently, develop new ideas, and further expand your skills in an ever-changing digital world.
