We are looking for an engineer to elevate our Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence R&D strategy. How You’ll Grow

• Build and maintain highly scalable data pipelines for cleansing, anonymizing, measuring, and indexing complex, multi-modal data.
• Assume mentorship roles and engage in collaborative projects to refine leadership skills and guide junior team members.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate closely with and incorporate feedback from specialists, tech-ops, and product managers.
• Lead and participate in design reviews, architectural discussions, requirement definitions, and other technical activities across various capacities.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings, work with peers, prioritize features, and maintain a sense of urgency to deliver customer value.
• Identify efficient methods for prototyping and testing potential solutions to large-scale problems.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and academic research to evaluate new tools, frameworks, and modeling techniques.

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning models for real-world applications, utilizing frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Solid Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, complexity analysis, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python), including object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with applied machine learning models and large-scale ML systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to deconstruct complex issues into manageable components.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective teamwork within cross-functional teams.

About the Team

• The Data Intelligence Center of Excellence (DICE) organization provides AI/ML research and development services across all product lines.
• This team is responsible for building core machine learning infrastructure and services.
• Our goal is to accelerate Qualtrics' ML adoption by providing a platform that enables every engineering team to experiment, design, build, monitor, and troubleshoot ML-powered applications using reusable components, patterns, and best practices.
• Through close collaboration with product and engineering teams, we seamlessly integrate advanced intelligence into everyday user experiences.

For full-time positions, the listed pay range is for base annual salary. Actual base pay may vary based on location, knowledge, education, skills, and experience. Sign-on bonuses and restricted stock units may be offered. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, paid time off, wellness reimbursement, mental health benefits, and an experience bonus.

Washington State Base Annual Pay Transparency Range: $203,500—$267,000 USD
