About the Role

As an Account Executive on our Agency team, you will be instrumental in growing existing client partnerships and revenue streams. Your primary focus will be evangelizing MRI-Simmons' solutions and delivering exceptional, white-glove client service. You will act as a trusted advisor, utilizing your strong relationship-building, consultative selling, and analytical skills to help clients overcome business challenges with our leading data and activation products. Building upon an established book of business, you will cultivate deep client relationships, uncover expansion opportunities, and drive incremental revenue through upselling and cross-selling our comprehensive suite of solutions. This role carries a sales quota.

We are seeking a proactive, solutions-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative, team-based setting and is eager to expand existing client business while enhancing MRI-Simmons' reputation as a strategic partner.

Responsibilities

  • Develop profound expertise across the entire spectrum of MRI-Simmons products to deliver best-in-class client support.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive, trusting, and collaborative relationships with assigned clients.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, coordinating all ongoing support and account management needs.
  • Lead and orchestrate account reviews, including crucial Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Drive revenue growth by upselling and expanding MRI-Simmons solutions, and by building/deepening relationships within key agency departments: Strategy, Research, Media, Planning, and Investment.
  • Coordinate and deliver comprehensive client training on MRI-Simmons software, data, and activation products.
  • Communicate effectively with clients through both written and verbal channels, ensuring a consistently high level of service.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership and internal teams to identify and execute revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of client initiatives to ensure successful delivery, follow-up, and the development of compelling case studies.
  • Leverage MRI-Simmons data to align with client strategies, identify new business prospects, actively participate in client meetings, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Gain a deep understanding of each client's business, customer base, and objectives, and how MRI-Simmons solutions can strategically support them.
  • Create insightful presentations that educate clients on MRI-Simmons' capabilities, data assets, and resources.
  • Prepare integrated, research-based presentations and proposals that position MRI-Simmons as a strategic consultant and partner.
  • Partner with Sales Account Directors to identify strategic opportunities by combining industry insights with MRI-Simmons data.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of sales or account management experience within market research, advanced advertising, media, or a related industry (syndicated and/or custom research experience is preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven track record of building relationships and effectively applying consultative selling techniques.
  • Ability to present, synthesize, and articulate compelling narratives with data.
  • Working knowledge of syndicated consumer data and the programmatic space is preferred.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Solid business acumen, strong problem-solving capabilities, and an analytical mindset.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related field.

Additional Information

This role offers a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $62,500.00 - $100,000.00 USD annually. Actual salaries will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. The position may also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
