About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Marketplace Advertising Manager to develop and implement advertising strategies for Amazon and other marketplaces. This role is crucial for aligning with our business unit and company objectives, requiring close collaboration with stakeholders like Marketplace Managers and BU Leads. You will strategically manage, structure, and continuously optimize campaigns, with a particular focus on Sponsored Ads and display formats. Your expertise will drive revenue, efficiency, and profitability through meticulous budget planning and control.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advertising strategies for Amazon and other marketplaces, aligning with business unit and company objectives, involving relevant stakeholders (e.g., Marketplace Managers, BU Leads).
  • Strategically manage, structure, and continuously optimize campaigns, especially Sponsored Ads and display formats.
  • Monitor key KPIs such as ROAS, ACoS, TACoS, CPC, and Conversion Rate, deriving concrete optimization measures.
  • Plan, manage, and control advertising budgets with a focus on revenue, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Identify new growth potentials by testing innovative advertising formats, placements, and campaign approaches.
  • Conduct competitor analyses and market observations to identify trends and optimization opportunities early.
  • Further develop existing processes, reports, and campaign structures to increase transparency, controllability, and performance.

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Communication Sciences, E-Commerce, or a comparable qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience (at least 2 years in Amazon PPC), ideally in the E-Commerce, Marketplace, or Agency environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Amazon Sponsored Ads; experience with Amazon DSP and Amazon Marketing Cloud is a plus.
  • Ideally, initial experience with other marketplaces like Kaufland or other retail media platforms.
  • Proficient in using Excel or Google Sheets, as well as analysis, dashboard, and BI tools; experience with tools like Helium 10, Keepa, metoda, Adspert, Perpetua, or Adference is advantageous.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills with a strong results orientation.
  • Clear communication skills and enjoyment of collaboration with different interfaces, high initiative.
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn, and interest in new advertising formats, platforms, and tools.
