Regional Sales Manager - South Central Region

Position Overview

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is an outside sales professional responsible for direct selling and identifying partner sales opportunities within a designated territory. The primary focus is on generating net new business through prospecting and closing deals, with the goal of achieving sales targets and maximizing commission earnings.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 70% travel required, including frequent overnight stays and potentially several hours of driving daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with automotive dealers, brands, or groups to introduce Impel's products and programs to key decision-makers.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all company products and programs.
  • Effectively manage a sales pipeline with multiple accounts and partners.
  • Demonstrate proven success in prospecting, building a pipeline, and advancing opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Present well-informed insights on competitors, competitive issues, and products.
  • Participate actively in sales meetings and trade shows.
  • Accurately and consistently track all communications and account details within Salesforce.
  • Aggressively drive partner sales through best practices, support, and training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated success in outside sales experience or a Sales Manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Sales experience in technology (SaaS) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Platforms.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a continuous desire to learn and improve.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity as a representative of the Impel brand.
  • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management.
