(Senior-) Underwriter (m/w/d) - Trade Credit

About the Role

Our client, a world-leading industrial insurer with a significant presence in the German market, is seeking a (Senior-) Underwriter (m/w/d) to join their team. This is a critical role focused on the Trade Credit insurance sector.

Your Responsibilities

• Underwriting national and international risks within the Trade Credit sector, with a specific focus on Multinational & Strategic Accounts.
• Actively managing and expanding a Trade Credit portfolio, with a primary focus on the DACH region.
• Collaborating closely with the sales team and supporting sales partners.
• Developing and implementing renewal strategies, including independent negotiation.
• Reviewing and enhancing contract terms (Wordings).
• Generating regular reports on portfolio development.
• Coordinating international programs in alignment with internal stakeholders.

Your Profile

• Completed degree in Law or Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in the banking and/or insurance sector, ideally in credit insurance, working capital, or receivables finance.
• Proven experience in developing contract terms, concepts, and wordings.
• Strong negotiation skills when dealing with corporate clients and credit institutions.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills; additional foreign languages are a plus.
• Decisiveness, teamwork, and strong initiative.
• Willingness to provide sales support and undertake business travel within the DACH region.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
