Your Role: Lead BI Developer
The Lead BI Developer will own the reporting infrastructure for key verticals including Credit Cards, Make Money/Manage Money, Banking, and Marketplace. This role goes beyond traditional BI development, focusing on becoming a proactive analytical partner who anticipates business needs. You will be embedded with business stakeholders, collaborating closely with Yield, Paid Media, and Account Management teams to uncover trends, analyze experiments, and challenge current thinking with novel insights. The emphasis is on ensuring the built solutions are used, understood, and acted upon.
Key Responsibilities & Outcomes
- 30 Days: Audit existing reporting, identify gaps, and start developing a standardization roadmap.
- 60 Days: Articulate vertical business models and key performance levers, improve dashboard standardization, and handle ad hoc requests with accuracy.
- 90 Days: Execute dashboard standardization, develop trusted data sources, understand LookML for downstream impact analysis, and establish strong stakeholder relationships.
- 6 Months: Build trust through education and best practices, deliver standardized reporting for self-service analytics, and provide proactive retrospective analyses.
- Year 1: Become the trusted technical owner for assigned verticals, complete reporting standardization, consistently deliver retrospective analyses, and act as a go-to analytical partner recommending actions.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Expert SQL & Complex Data Handling: Proficient in extracting insights from raw, unstructured data.
- Reporting Ownership & Data Literacy: Ability to build, standardize, drive adoption, and enhance team data literacy.
- Performance Marketing Optimization: Connect data directly to business levers like campaign performance, conversion rates, and revenue.
- Advanced LookML Development (or Power BI/Tableau equivalent): Architect complex data models with awareness of downstream effects.
- Curiosity & Business Depth: Proactively seek to understand the business to become a trusted analytical partner.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in BI or analytics, with direct exposure to performance or affiliate marketing. Proven track record of owning reporting end-to-end, working with complex third-party data, and partnering with business teams to drive decisions.

Total Compensation
