Job Description: SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

As an SDET, your responsibilities will encompass writing automated tests and focusing on the testability, robustness, and performance of software. You are a test professional with programming skills capable of creating automation testing tools and frameworks, and contributing to our extensive suite of regression tests and tests required for environment promotions.

To excel in this role, you should possess excellent time management and organizational skills, along with effective communication abilities. A passion for designing, developing, and testing, coupled with the drive to continuously upgrade your technical skills within the ever-changing technology sector, is essential.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the flow of code and its interaction with different components.
  • Comprehend project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases.
  • Set up, maintain, and perform test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms (Web, cloud, front-end, back-end integration), and build test scenarios and acceptance tests.
  • Investigate customer problems referred by the technical support team, test bugs, and create and manage bug reports.
  • Handle technical communications and understand customer systems.
  • Collaborate with deployment teams, resolve level issues for systems, coordinate on product design, and provide input on the testability of functional elements and product designs.
  • Document all testing actions performed in daily and weekly reports.
  • Analyze and disintegrate software systems and coordinate with other teams to enhance overall design.
  • Research test tools, methodologies, and trends, and upgrade existing practices and processes.
  • Manage the final quality assurance for production releases.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Experience testing web, cloud, front-end, and back-end applications.
  • Ability to create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
