The Role: Event Marketing Specialist (m/f/d)

We connect companies in transport, logistics, and industry daily with our innovative FreightTech solutions. For this role, we are seeking a creative and results-driven individual for Event Marketing. Initially a two-year fixed-term position, you will play a central role in developing and implementing national and international events, trade fairs, and event formats. You will think holistically about events, manage projects independently, and contribute to making our brand tangible and advancing our marketing strategy effectively.

Working collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, and other departments, you will create experiences that connect, inspire, and remain memorable.

This role offers partial remote work, with a requirement for at least two days per week presence in our Erkrath office to foster close collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, conception, and implementation of national and international trade fairs, customer events, internal events, and digital/hybrid event formats.
  • Independent management of event projects from ideation to success evaluation.
  • Development of existing concepts and creation of new event formats aligned with marketing and corporate strategy.
  • Management of budgets and external service providers, agencies, and partners.
  • Advising internal departments on event planning and execution.
  • Analysis of relevant KPIs and derivation of measures to optimize brand perception, lead generation, and customer loyalty.

Qualifications

  • Completed university degree or equivalent qualification with a focus on Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Several years of professional experience in event or trade fair marketing, including independent planning and execution of B2B events and trade show appearances.
  • Experience in managing projects, budgets, and external service providers.
  • Entrepreneurial and independent work style combined with creativity and execution strength.
  • Proficient use of digital tools and practical experience with AI applications for optimizing events and processes.
  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness for occasional national and international business travel and a valid driver's license (Class B).
