Utility Locate Technician

ELM Utility Services, a national leader with over 1700 employees, is seeking a dedicated Utility Locate Technician for the Springfield, Nebraska area. Our technicians are essential to their communities, ensuring the reliability and safety of gas, electric, and communication systems by performing high-quality utility marking to prevent damage during excavation. We utilize the advanced LaunchPoint software system, integrating the latest technology for enhanced efficiency.

Starting Wages

• $22.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors, utilizing your company-provided vehicle as a mobile office to complete a daily route of locate requests.
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and whiskers.
• Use the mobile work system to receive and manage daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Pre-Employment Screening: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, Motor Vehicle Record check, and background check. Note: This is a Safety-Sensitive DOT position subject to Federal Department of Transportation regulations. Marijuana use (medical or recreational) is prohibited as it is a Schedule I controlled substance.
• Education & Age: High School Diploma or GED and must be at least 18 years of age.
• Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
