Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

About the Role

Miami Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Operating Room department. This is a Weekend Only position, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The Clinical Nurse serves as a vital partner and advocate for patients and their families, providing essential physical, emotional, and spiritual support to ensure positive patient outcomes in a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with and advocate for patients/families/significant others.
• Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support impacting patient outcomes in a safe environment.
• Function in a versatile role demonstrating professionalism, excellence, and autonomy in nursing practice.
• Utilize the nursing process and evidence-based principles to care for a diverse patient caseload within the department's scope of service.
• Serve as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry.
• Collaborate with and guide care delivered by the inter-professional team.
• Ensure accountability for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Education:
• Associate degree from a school of nursing.
• BSN is preferred; BSN Completion or Professional Certification may be required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• Valid Ohio RN license.
• Current healthcare provider BLS certification required prior to completion of orientation.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 1-3 years of job-related experience.
• 1 year of experience in the Operating Room specialty is required.
