About the Role

The Nursing Professional Development RN (Practitioner) (NPDP) is a registered nurse with specialized expertise in nursing professional development. This role influences professional competence and growth of learners across various settings, aiming for improved population health. You will support care sites by coordinating professional development needs in collaboration with departmental leadership, system NPD Specialists, the System Nurse Manager for Clinical Education, and the Learning Institute.

Education

  • Minimum Level: Bachelor's degree
  • Degree Type: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Major: Nursing

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid RN Licensure in the State of Ohio
  • ACLS, PALS (based on service line/specialty requirements)
  • Specialty certification or NPD certification within three years of hire

Experience

  • Minimum Level: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
  • Prior Experience: Registered Nurse, Educator, Faculty in area of specialty
  • Preferred Experience: 1 or more years of clinical precepting/teaching experience
