Role Overview: Logistics Supply Specialist / Distribution

Miami Valley Hospital North is looking for a Logistics Supply Specialist to perform multiple logistics and supply chain functions. This role requires a working knowledge of Material Management functions, including shipping & receiving, inventory, and replenishment. As a key support department, Materials Management is responsible for the management, control, and movement of supplies across the organization. The specialist will provide exceptional customer service and collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team.

This is a critical role in managing supplies accurately from receipt to distribution. The position requires understanding how to prioritize duties to ensure timely completion within scheduled hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform multiple logistics and supply chain functions.
• Manage and control the movement of supplies across the organization.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Collaborate effectively with co-workers, clinical staff, supervisors, and management.
• Accurately manage supplies from receipt to distribution.
• Understand and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Working knowledge of Material Management functions (shipping & receiving, inventory, replenishment).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Basic knowledge of Supply Chain inventory software and mobile supply chain devices.
• Basic knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems.
• Basic knowledge of material handling, warehouse, and inventory skills.
• Proficient in mathematics, reading, and writing skills.
• Knowledge of Facility Disaster Plan, Safety, Infection Control, Blood and Tissue Handling, and HazMat policies.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of and adherence to Premier Health and Material Management policies and HIPPA requirements.

Shift and Employment Type:

• Shift: 1st Shift (4-hour shift)
• Schedule: Includes weekends and holidays; must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Type: Part-Time
• Hours: 40 hours per pay period

Education & Experience:

• Minimum Education: High School completion / GED
• Minimum Experience: No prior job-related work experience required.
• Preferred Experience: Material Management experience, preferably in Healthcare.
