The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly driven leader to spearhead our Software Product Management and Software Product Engineering organizations. This is a critical, high-impact role responsible for building and scaling software products and platforms across our oncology and prenatal businesses. You will oversee external customer-facing experiences (provider and patient portals) and essential internal platforms (variant curation, report generation).

This is a unique opportunity for a product-first technology leader with exceptional product management instincts and strong engineering leadership experience. The ideal candidate is customer-centric, understands scalable software systems, embraces an AI-first mindset, and leverages emerging AI capabilities for differentiated customer experiences and operational advantage. Experience managing engineering organizations with a strong product and business outlook is key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Software Product Management and Software Product Engineering teams for oncology and prenatal software products.
  • Define and execute software product and platform strategy for portals, patient experiences, operational platforms, and internal tools.
  • Drive an AI-first approach in product development and engineering operations, utilizing modern AI technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to transform AI capabilities into differentiated products and customer value.
  • Collaborate closely with Clinical Product, Data Science, Bioinformatics, IT/IS, Operations, and Commercial teams.
  • Lead engineering managers and teams responsible for architecture, development, infrastructure, quality, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Establish strong product and engineering operating mechanisms for predictable, high-quality delivery.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on customer obsession, ownership, speed, technical excellence, and business impact.
  • Serve as the leading expert on customer workflows and software user experience.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in software product management, software engineering, or technology leadership.
  • Strong product management background with end-to-end ownership of complex products/platforms.
  • Experience managing software engineering organizations and leaders.
  • Proven ability to lead both product and engineering functions simultaneously.
  • Track record of building and scaling customer-facing products and/or complex operational systems.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, platform development, scalability, and engineering tradeoffs.
  • Experience leveraging AI technologies and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Excellent product instincts and ability to translate emerging technologies into practical solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Highly entrepreneurial mindset with strategic and hands-on capabilities.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments with ambiguity.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, genomics, or regulated environments.
  • Experience building provider-facing or patient-facing healthcare software.
  • Strong understanding of US healthcare technologies and ecosystems.
  • Experience working with AI, machine learning, or data platform teams.
  • Prior experience leading organizations through significant growth.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid position (onsite 3 days/week).
  • Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Total compensation package up to $580,140 per year.
  • Base pay range: $257,243 - $300,117 per year.
