What You'll Do

  • Secure coverage on a deadline: Own a portfolio of open court hearings and work them daily via phone, text, and email to secure attorney commitment before the hearing date.
  • Negotiate fees in real time: Hold your position on price, handle counteroffers, and extend above-standard offers in tight markets, always protecting margin while achieving successful placements.
  • Triage a fast-moving pipeline: Prioritize competing hearings, make sound judgment calls quickly, and clearly explain your reasoning to the team.
  • Manage the curveballs: Handle last-minute changes, cancellations, and urgent coverage gaps with a solutions-first mindset.
  • Onboard and support attorneys: Guide new attorneys through the Docketly process, answer their questions, and serve as their primary contact to encourage repeat engagement.
  • Keep clients in the loop: Update law firms on hearing status to build trust and prevent surprises.
  • Keep your data clean: Log activity, confirm assignments, and maintain pipeline accuracy. Your numbers tell your story.
  • Make the system better: Identify recurring coverage gaps and contribute ideas during daily huddles and team meetings.

What Success Looks Like

Success will be measured by clear, daily metrics including: speed of hearing coverage, number of dropped hearings, efficiency in managing your portfolio, and adherence to cost targets. This role is designed for individuals who are motivated by performance data and driven to exceed targets.

A Day in This Role

While no two days are identical, the rhythm is steady. Mornings involve focusing on high-priority open hearings, contacting attorneys via phone, text, and email. Midday includes triaging new and at-risk hearings, negotiating fees, and updating clients. Throughout the day, you'll onboard attorneys, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records. The day concludes with setting up for the next day and handing off any ongoing tasks. This role is based on-site in Longmont, Monday through Friday, working collaboratively with the coverage operations team.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 1+ year in a role requiring high-volume phone outreach or direct negotiation (e.g., inside sales, SDR/BDR, account management, collections, dispatch, scheduling, high-touch customer service).
  • Comfortable and efficient on the phone, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing numerous open items simultaneously without errors.
  • Calm and decisive under deadline pressure; able to make quick decisions and move forward.
  • Tech-savvy and able to learn new platforms quickly.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Experience in staffing, dispatch, gig-platform operations, or a high-volume call-center/outbound environment.
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding KPIs in a metrics-driven role.
  • Familiarity with CRM or scheduling tools.
  • Exposure to legal, court, or collections operations.
  • Comfortable using Mac OS and Google Workspace.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay:

  • $20–$22 per hour (full hourly range; no sales commission).
  • Starting rate based on experience.
