About the Data & Technology Team

Our Data & Technology team comprises data scientists, analysts, engineers, web developers, and product managers. We develop, manage, and execute the technical roadmap for Civic Nation's internal operations and external initiatives, providing robust data analysis, building tools and infrastructure, and servicing internal needs.

Your Impact: Supporting Voter Contact & Campaign Strategy

This full-time temporary position (concluding December 15th, 2026) will provide essential data and analytics support to the 2026 Party at the Polls campaign. You will operate at the intersection of direct voter contact, research, and program operations, ensuring our outreach is targeted, measurable, and data-driven.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the execution of large-scale direct voter contact (DVC) programs across mail, SMS, and digital channels, ensuring accurate and well-structured voter universes for deployment.
• Build and maintain clean, well-documented data tables for analysis and universe creation to enable scalable voter targeting.
• Support the program's research and learning agenda by adhering to established treatment/control group definitions and ensuring audience segments meet A/B testing standards.
• Assist in identifying and prioritizing voting sites for "Party at the Polls" activations using data to guide geographic decision-making.
• Provide analytical capacity across Civic Nation teams during a high-intensity season, including:
• Contributing to reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Delivering timely analysis of program performance.
• Building automated processes and dashboards for real-time insights and reduced manual data work.
• Perform other reasonable and related duties as assigned.

Your Experience

• 1+ years of work experience in an analyst role (including internships) or significant quantitative coursework (statistics, economics, modeling, regression analysis, coding).
• Proficiency in SQL is required.
• Experience with R or Python, BigQuery, and Google Data Studio is preferred.
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) is a plus.

Your Competencies

• A critical approach to data outputs: ability to question results, pressure-test assumptions, and assess real-world plausibility.
• Collaborative coding skills using version control, clear documentation, and well-commented code.
• Experience working with a comprehensive voter file.
• Ability to implement automated solutions to minimize manual data work.
• Strong oral communication skills, adept at translating complex analyses into clear, accessible insights for non-technical audiences.
• Skill in creating insightful and easy-to-understand data visualizations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with sharp attention to detail, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Google Suite.
• Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: $65,000 - $72,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
