Governance & Compliance Professional (Interim)

Delta Capita is seeking a seasoned Governance & Compliance professional to provide crucial interim support to its Financial Services Compliance function. This role is pivotal in the ongoing operation, enhancement, and oversight of compliance governance and policy frameworks, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This is a high-impact contract position offering excellent stakeholder exposure and the chance to influence compliance strategies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Compliance Policy & Governance Framework.
  • Review and update compliance policies, frameworks, methodologies, and supporting documentation.
  • Provide Second Line oversight, guidance, and constructive challenge to business (First Line) functions.
  • Support governance forums and contribute to committee materials and reporting.
  • Assist in the annual compliance monitoring and assurance planning process.
  • Identify and escalate material compliance risks, control weaknesses, and regulatory concerns.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, HR, Internal Audit, and senior stakeholders to ensure a coordinated compliance approach.
  • Contribute to compliance training and awareness initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in compliance within a regulated financial services environment (e.g., banking, insurance, payments).
  • Strong understanding of compliance governance, policy frameworks, and regulatory obligations.
  • Experience operating within a Second Line Compliance function (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory topics.
  • Ability to operate in a hands-on, fast-paced interim environment.
  • Financial Crime knowledge is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Relevant compliance qualification or degree preferred.

This is a fixed-term/permanent contract, full-time position located in Dublin. A valid working permit for Ireland is mandatory.

Hybrid Working Expectations: As a Service Provider and Consulting firm, our hybrid working policy aligns with client expectations, which may vary. Typically, this involves a minimum of 3 days per week in the office (client or Delta Capita offices) and 2 days from home. Candidates must be flexible to meet evolving client demands, which may require up to 4-5 days in the office.
