Job Summary
The Senior Software Engineer will leverage deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable software platforms across infrastructure, tools, and development methodologies. This role is instrumental in building PatientPoint’s next-generation unified platform using Python 3, Google Ad Manager, Elasticsearch, and AWS, with an emphasis on AI-based development tools for AdTech products. You will own work from architecture through delivery, solving complex problems at scale and building software that matters.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs deployed in AWS.
- Develop scalable, high-performance solutions following modern software design principles.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and drive implementation of reusable solutions.
- Ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of core platform services and APIs.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to continuous code quality improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, and Security.
- Mentor peers and junior engineers.
- Utilize AI-based development tools to build high-quality, high-performance AdTech products.
What We Need (Required Qualifications)
- 6+ years of experience in backend software engineering building enterprise-grade applications.
- 4+ years developing scalable, high-performance, high availability microservices.
- 4+ years designing cloud-native architectures and implementing infrastructure as code.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with relational databases and writing optimized SQL queries.
- 2+ years of front-end development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
- Advanced proficiency in Python 3 (expert-level knowledge required; coding assessment will be administered).
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with observability tools (e.g., New Relic, Sentry).
- Elasticsearch experience or other cloud-native search technologies.
- Background in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Amazon ECS, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts (OAuth2, JWT, HMAC, encryption, etc.).
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners.
- Understanding of digital advertising ecosystems (Google Ad Manager, Kevel, Sizmek, DV360).
- Awareness of healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, PHI).
- Experience developing software with a focus on customer feedback and iterative improvement.

Compensation
Base Salary Band: $88,299.55 - $164,000 USD.
- Compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, geographic location, and professional experience. The listed base salary is one component of PatientPoint’s total compensation package.
