Job Summary

We are looking for a Sr. MS Access Database Developer – Lead to maintain and enhance the client’s Financial Management Tool (FMT). This role is contingent upon the successful award of the associated contract to Aretum and the completion of required background investigations or security clearance verifications. Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of the MS Access front-end and AWS/MariaDB backend.
• Manage forms, queries, reporting tables, automation, and ODBC connectivity.
• Ensure reporting accuracy, daily refresh processes, performance tuning, and error resolution.
• Oversee version control, data integrity, user support, and access/role management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of MS Access development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree).
• Expertise with MariaDB/MySQL.
• Experience in federal IT financial data systems and reporting automation.
• Strong SQL and database integration skills.
• Public Trust Eligibility Required.
• U.S. Citizenship required for obtaining Public Trust or Suitability Determination.

Travel Requirements

This is a remote position; however, occasional travel (less than 10%) may be required for project needs, client meetings, team collaboration, or training. Travel will be communicated in advance.
