By combining our proprietary software with a nationwide network of legal professionals, Docketly is redefining legal support services.

What You'll Do

  • Secure Coverage on Deadline: Manage a portfolio of open court hearings daily, using phone, text, and email to confirm attorney coverage before the hearing date.
  • Negotiate Fees in Real Time: Strategically negotiate attorney fees, manage counteroffers, and authorize above-standard rates when necessary, always protecting profit margins.
  • Triage a Fast-Moving Pipeline: Prioritize competing hearings, make swift, sound judgment calls, and clearly articulate your reasoning to the team.
  • Manage Curveballs: Address last-minute changes, cancellations, and urgent coverage gaps with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Onboard and Support Attorneys: Guide new attorneys through the Docketly platform and processes, serving as their primary point of contact.
  • Keep Clients Informed: Provide timely updates to law firms regarding hearing status to foster trust and prevent surprises.
  • Maintain Data Integrity: Accurately log all activity, confirm assignments, and ensure pipeline data is up-to-date.
  • Improve the System: Identify recurring coverage challenges and contribute improvement ideas during team meetings.

Performance is measured by clear, daily metrics including the speed of hearing coverage, the rate of dropped hearings, efficiency in managing your workload, and adherence to cost targets. This role is ideal for those motivated by achieving and exceeding performance goals.

A Day in This Role

Each day involves managing high-priority hearings, contacting attorneys via phone, text, and email, triaging new and at-risk hearings, negotiating fees, and updating clients. You'll also onboard attorneys, resolve scheduling conflicts, and maintain accurate records. The role operates Monday through Friday within a collaborative coverage-operations team.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 1+ year in a role requiring high-volume phone outreach or direct negotiation (e.g., inside sales, SDR/BDR, account management, collections, dispatch, scheduling, high-touch customer service).
  • Proficiency and efficiency on the phone, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing numerous open items simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under deadline pressure.
  • Tech-savvy with a quick ability to learn new platforms.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Experience in staffing, dispatch, gig-platform operations, or a high-volume call center/outbound environment.
  • A proven track record of hitting or exceeding KPIs in a metrics-driven role.
  • Familiarity with CRM or scheduling tools.
  • Exposure to legal, court, or collections operations.
  • Comfort with Mac OS and Google Workspace.

  • Pay: $20–$22 per hour (based on experience, no sales commission).
