TKDA, a multi-disciplined, employee-owned firm, is seeking a passionate Professional Structural Engineer to join our Facilities Engineering team. You will play a key role in designing and managing a variety of facilities and commercial/heavy industrial structures, collaborating with Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering professionals. This is a chance to contribute to projects for industrial, government, education, and mining clients across Minnesota and the nation.
In this impactful position, you will engage in the analysis and design of diverse structure types, with a focus on light to heavy industrial facilities. Beyond design, you will hone your project management, technical leadership, and client engagement skills by overseeing multi-disciplined projects from concept to construction administration. You will also have the rewarding opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to business development efforts through client relationship building, proposal development, and presentations.
Embracing TKDA's "Seller-Doer" approach, you will partner with the Structural Group Manager, Market Managers, and VP of Facilities Engineering to track business opportunities. You will represent TKDA at project interviews and networking events, and assist in redefining department standards and identifying future service capabilities.
This role features a hybrid work model: Tuesdays through Thursdays in the office, with Mondays and Fridays remote. Candidates outside the Duluth, MN area may be eligible for a modified schedule based on experience and business needs, requiring a minimum of one day per week in the office.
$107,000 - $162,000 per year. The listed salary range reflects base pay for candidates with 12-30 years of related experience. Compensation is determined by technical skills, experience level, and qualifications. Candidates with more experience or different compensation expectations are encouraged to apply.
