Netzwerk- & Security Engineer (m/w/d) - Firewall & Cloud
We design modern, secure, and scalable IT infrastructures – with a focus on firewalls, cloud, network, and Infrastructure as Code. If you want to actively develop our network landscape and bring enthusiasm for IaC and modern firewall technologies, we look forward to your application!
Responsibilities
- Configuration, administration, and planning of firewalls, especially based on Fortinet and Palo Alto
- Ensuring network security, high availability, and performance in hybrid AWS Cloud and On-Premises environments
- Planning, implementation, and operation of modern network infrastructures in AWS – including Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, Terragrunt, and Git
- Close collaboration with cross-functional teams, as well as analysis and troubleshooting for continuous improvement of security, stability, and performance within the company
Qualifications
- Completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist for system integration or comparable qualification
- Approx. 3-5 years of professional experience in a comparable role with a focus on Fortinet and Palo Alto and network management
- Practical experience with firewall management (CLI experience is an advantage)
- Fluent and business-proficient German
Nice-to-Have:
- Knowledge or interest in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably with Terraform and Terragrunt
- Experience in automating and managing networks in an AWS cloud environment
