YOUR ROLE

As Head of Finance, you will assume operational & strategic responsibility for the financial area of EMIL Group, ensuring our financial structures keep pace with our growth. Together with our management team, you will create transparency regarding the company's economic development and support strategic decisions with well-founded analyses and forecasts.

You understand Finance not just as a control function, but as an active business partner for the entire company. You bring structure to complex issues, develop processes further, and ensure that our finance organization is efficient, scalable, and future-proof. As a growing B2B SaaS company focused on the insurance industry, we offer you the opportunity to actively shape Finance and make a direct contribution to the further development of EMIL Group. You will report directly to the founders – with a clear perspective on a CFO or VP Finance role as we continue to grow.

WHAT AWAITS YOU

• Responsibility for FP&A, Accounting & Compliance, and Investor Reporting of EMIL Group across multiple companies.
• Building, leading, and developing the Finance team.
• Establishing transparent reporting structures and meaningful SaaS KPIs for management and the board.
• Analyzing our business development and deriving recommendations for action for management and executive leadership.
• Responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in collaboration with internal accountants and external tax advisors and auditors.
• Steering and optimizing central Finance processes with a focus on efficiency, auditability, scalability, and automation.
• Supporting strategic projects and corporate decisions through reliable financial analyses.
• Acting as the point of contact for banks, tax advisors, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
• Direct reporting to the founders and interdisciplinary collaboration with leaders of other teams.
• The opportunity to build, shape, and lead the Finance function of a growing SaaS company long-term.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Several years of professional experience in Finance, Controlling, Corporate Finance, or Accounting.
• Experience in a responsible Finance role with an overview of a company's financial management.
• Experience in a VC-funded startup or scale-up, ideally with insight into fundraising processes and investor reporting.
• Experience with international company structures (e.g., Germany and Switzerland).
• Knowledge of SaaS KPIs such as ARR, MRR, Net Revenue Retention, or Customer Acquisition Cost.
• Sound knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow and liquidity management.
• Experience in a software, SaaS, or technology-driven company is a big plus.
• A solid understanding of business interrelationships and the ability to derive concrete recommendations for action from data.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
• Experience with AI tools and their application to financial processes.
