About the Role

We are seeking a holistic thinker to join our team and help shape processes within the financial sector that have substance and lasting impact. This role combines strategic foresight with operational responsibility, offering a chance to contribute significantly to our risk management framework.

Responsibilities

• Support the further development of the risk strategy and risk management system.
• Create regular risk reports for the Management Board, Supervisory Board, and regulatory authorities.
• Assess the company's risk-bearing capacity and derive actionable recommendations.
• Identify and evaluate the impact of risks in processes, projects, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop risk mitigation measures and support their implementation with relevant departments.
• Participate in outsourcing management, conduct risk analyses, and coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Support internal and external audits in the area of risk.
• Collaborate closely with Compliance, Internal Audit, and other relevant interfaces.
• Raise employee awareness for risk-conscious behavior and support the development of internal standards.
• Document risks, measures, and audit findings comprehensibly and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with external auditors and regulatory authorities, and prepare necessary documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in risk management within the financial sector.
• Experience in payment transactions and knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., MaRisk, ZAG, DORA).
• Analytical and strategic thinking with a solution-oriented approach.
• Clear communication skills, teamwork ability, and a sense of responsibility.
• Enjoyment of complex tasks and initiative.
• Fluent German (negotiation level) and good English skills.
• (Ideally) Experience with Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
• (Ideally) SQL knowledge for data analysis.
